This vital role involves overseeing classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring educational continuity and managing classroom behaviour effectively. You will be provided with pre-planned work and resources, allowing you to focus on pupil engagement and support. We are looking for individuals who can commit to various contract types, from daily supply to more long-term arrangements, offering a competitive daily rate between £145 and £160. Key Responsibilities
* Effectively deliver pre-prepared lessons and activities across various subjects.
* Maintain a purposeful and well-ordered learning atmosphere in the classroom.
* Manage pupil behaviour positively and consistently, upholding school expectations.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils under your supervision.
* Provide clear instructions and support to pupils, facilitating their learning journey.
* Report back to teaching staff on pupil engagement and any significant observations from the lesson.
About You
* You possess previous experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport quickly.
* You have a proven ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively and positively.
* You are adaptable, resilient, and can think on your feet in dynamic environments.
* You are proactive, reliable, and committed to promoting high standards of learning and conduct.
