About the Role
An inclusive school is immediately seeking a dedicated ASD Support Assistant to join their specialist secondary setting. This crucial role involves providing comprehensive support to students on the autism spectrum, ensuring their academic and personal growth within a nurturing environment. Flexible contract options are available, ranging from daily supply and short-term assignments to long-term and permanent opportunities, all offering competitive daily rates between £90 and £115.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored one-on-one and small group support to secondary students with ASD.
* Actively facilitate the development of social communication skills and positive interactions.
* Implement strategies to effectively manage and respond to students' sensory needs.
* Support students in accessing the curriculum across various subjects and learning activities.
* Assist with the preparation of learning resources and adaptation of materials as required.
* Collaborate closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure holistic student development.

About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* Demonstrable experience working with secondary-aged students with ASD is highly advantageous.
* A strong understanding of effective strategies for facilitating social communication.
* Proven ability to sensitively manage and respond to diverse sensory needs.
* Committed to promoting inclusion and fostering an accessible learning environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and staff.
