An ambitious school is seeking a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to inspire and guide pupils within a nurturing primary setting. This pivotal role involves leading small groups of pupils, each supported by an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), through a thoughtfully adapted national curriculum. You will collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families, fostering an inclusive environment where every child can thrive and reach their unique potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead engaging and differentiated lessons for small groups of pupils with diverse special educational needs.
* Skilfully adapt the national curriculum to meet the specific learning styles and requirements of each child.
* Foster a positive, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and well-being.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to support holistic pupil development.
* Maintain open and constructive communication with families, providing regular updates on pupil progress and engagement.
* Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) or contribute to EHCP reviews, ensuring pupil-centred goals are met.
About You
* You are a qualified Primary Teacher (ECT, MPS, or UPS) with a genuine passion for special educational needs.
* Possess a proven ability to differentiate learning and create accessible educational experiences for all pupils.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for working with pupils, colleagues, and families.
* Committed to continuous professional development and eager to embrace new strategies in SEN provision.
* Exhibit patience, empathy, and resilience, consistently championing the success of every child.
