About the Role
A thriving school is seeking a dedicated ASD Support Assistant to join their specialist SEN provision. This vital role involves supporting secondary students on the autism spectrum, helping them to navigate their school day, facilitate social communication, manage sensory needs, and access the curriculum effectively across various subjects. We welcome applications for various contract types, including long term, daily supply, short term, or permanent positions, offering a competitive daily rate of £90 - £115, with an immediate start available for the right candidate in the Essex area.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to secondary students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
* Facilitate effective social communication and interaction skills within the school environment.
* Implement strategies to manage and respond to individual sensory needs appropriately.
* Support students in accessing a broad and balanced secondary curriculum.
* Foster independence and develop essential life skills for future success.
* Collaborate closely with teachers and therapists to create inclusive learning experiences.

About You
* Possess proven experience supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Condition.
* Demonstrate a clear understanding of the diverse needs of students on the autism spectrum.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience in a dynamic educational setting.
* Hold strong communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport effectively.
* Show a genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
* Be adaptable and proactive in meeting individual student requirements.
