Key Responsibilities
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Biology lessons across all secondary key stages, incorporating Chemistry specialism where appropriate.
• Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
• Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
• Contribute to the continuous development of the science curriculum and departmental resources.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings, training, and whole-school initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of classroom management and pupil welfare, ensuring a safe and productive learning space.
About You
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Biology or a related scientific field.
• Possess a strong subject knowledge in Biology, with a proven ability to teach Chemistry effectively.
• Demonstrate a genuine passion for science education and inspiring secondary pupils.
• Exhibit excellent classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate learning for all abilities.
• Be a collaborative team player committed to working within a supportive departmental structure.
• Newly Qualified Teachers (ECTs) are warmly encouraged to apply, alongside experienced professionals (MPS/UPS).
