About the Role
Join a highly regarded school in the West Midlands as a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant, playing a pivotal role in a pupil's educational journey. You will provide crucial, tailored assistance to a secondary pupil with complex needs, working diligently to implement their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets. This rewarding position involves facilitating curriculum access, fostering greater independence, and developing essential life skills within a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide consistent and dedicated 1:1 support to a secondary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Work collaboratively to implement and track progress against individual EHCP targets.
* Facilitate the pupil's effective access to the secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Actively promote the development of crucial independence and essential life skills.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for the pupil.
* Maintain clear communication and collaborate closely with teaching staff and other professionals.

About You
* Demonstrable experience providing 1:1 support to pupils with complex SEN, ideally at secondary level.
* A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective rapport building.
* Ability to work proactively and adapt support strategies to meet individual pupil needs.
* A sound understanding of EHCPs and their practical application within an educational setting.
* Possess a patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to daily challenges and successes.
