This enriching 1:1 SEN Support Assistant role involves providing bespoke assistance to a primary-aged pupil, supporting their unique educational journey. The successful candidate will work closely with a child who has complex special educational needs, potentially including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, or sensory impairments, helping them thrive every day. We offer flexible contract arrangements, including long-term, daily supply, or permanent positions, with an immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated and consistent 1:1 support to a primary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Build a strong, trusting rapport with the pupil, understanding their individual communication and learning styles.
* Assist in the effective implementation of Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets, adapting strategies as needed.
* Collaborate closely with internal staff and external therapists or specialists to support the pupil's holistic development.
* Foster the pupil's independence, social skills, and participation within the school community.
* Contribute to maintaining a safe, stimulating, and positive learning environment for all children.
