About the Role
A respected school in South London is seeking a dedicated ASD Support Assistant to join their vibrant primary phase, providing specialist support within a dedicated autism provision. This essential role involves working closely with primary-aged pupils on the autism spectrum, fostering their development and well-being within a structured and nurturing environment. You will be instrumental in implementing tailored strategies that facilitate learning, communication, and social interaction, making a tangible difference to each child's educational journey and daily experience.

Key Responsibilities
* Implement individualised learning plans and structured routines effectively.
* Apply various sensory strategies to create a supportive and engaging environment.
* Facilitate and enhance communication using diverse methods tailored to pupils' needs.
* Support pupils in developing essential life skills and promoting their independence.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and therapists to monitor progress and adapt approaches.
* Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every pupil feels valued.

About You
* You possess a genuine passion for supporting primary pupils with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* You demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, adapting to individual pupil requirements.
* You are patient, empathetic, and resilient, thriving in a dynamic educational setting.
* You have a strong understanding of various sensory and communication strategies relevant to ASD.
* You are proactive, reliable, and capable of working effectively as part of a dedicated team.
* You are available to commence this rewarding role as soon as possible.
