About the Role
Discover a rewarding opportunity as a 1:1 SEN Support Assistant within a flourishing secondary school in Shropshire. This pivotal role involves providing dedicated, individualised support to a secondary pupil presenting with complex special educational needs. You will be instrumental in implementing EHCP targets, facilitating access to a diverse curriculum, and actively fostering essential independence and life skills. We are seeking committed professionals available for immediate starts, with flexible contract options including long-term, daily supply, or permanent placements, offering a competitive daily rate of £85 - £110.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver highly personalised 1:1 support tailored to a secondary pupil's unique requirements.
* Implement and diligently monitor progress against individualised Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
* Facilitate active engagement and successful access to the secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Champion the development of crucial independence and self-help skills in daily routines.
* Actively foster essential life skills, preparing the pupil for future success.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff to differentiate and adapt learning resources effectively.

About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting young people with complex special educational needs, ideally in a secondary setting.
* Hold a strong understanding of EHCPs and their practical application within an educational environment.
* Exhibit genuine patience, empathy, and a profound commitment to inclusive education.
* Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, capable of building rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
* Be a proactive and adaptable individual, ready to respond to diverse learning situations.
* Hold relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs support (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent).
