Key Responsibilities
• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Facilitate an inclusive learning environment, ensuring all pupils can access the curriculum effectively.
• Encourage pupil independence and promote positive behaviour strategies throughout the school day.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support holistic pupil development.
• Contribute to the creation of engaging and accessible learning resources for diverse needs.
About You
• Possess previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs, ideally within a primary school setting.
• Demonstrate a patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting diverse learning styles and challenges.
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Be proactive, adaptable, and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Show a genuine passion for inclusive education and a commitment to making a positive difference in children's lives.
• Hold a relevant qualification or demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding practices in schools.
