A well-established school is seeking a dedicated and passionate Chemistry Teacher to join its thriving Science department on a long-term, permanent contract. This exciting opportunity, commencing in September 2026, involves delivering engaging and high-quality Chemistry lessons across the secondary curriculum. You will be instrumental in fostering a love for scientific inquiry and promoting academic achievement among pupils.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver dynamic and effective Chemistry lessons to pupils across all secondary key stages.
* Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive schemes of work and stimulating lesson materials.
* Continuously assess, monitor, and accurately report on pupil progress and attainment in Chemistry.
* Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment within the classroom.
* Actively contribute to the wider Science department through collaborative planning and resource development.
* Participate enthusiastically in extracurricular activities or clubs related to Science, where appropriate.
About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant Chemistry or Science degree.
* Possess a genuine passion for Chemistry and an unwavering commitment to inspiring young minds.
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and a strong grasp of pedagogical knowledge.
* Be highly adept at differentiating instruction to effectively meet the diverse needs of all learners.
* Show a proactive approach to continuous professional development and departmental collaboration.
* Have successful experience teaching Chemistry across the secondary age range, or be an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT).
