A dynamic school is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their nurturing primary team. This vital role involves supporting primary-aged pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. You will work both 1:1 and in small groups, fostering an inclusive environment where every child can thrive in this specialist SEN setting. Opportunities are available for immediate starts on a range of flexible contracts, from daily supply and short-term assignments to long-term and permanent positions.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with diverse learning needs.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and therapists to implement individualised learning plans.
* Assist in adapting and preparing engaging educational resources for pupils.
* Foster a safe, stimulating, and positive learning atmosphere for all children.
* Encourage pupil independence and social development throughout the school day.
* Monitor and accurately record pupil progress, contributing to assessment discussions.
About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting primary-aged children with complex SEND.
