This crucial role involves providing tailored support to pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, helping them to manage behaviour, regulate emotions, and successfully reintegrate into the learning environment. We are offering flexible contract options including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent opportunities, with an immediate start available, paying between £95 and £120 per day.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide targeted support to secondary pupils experiencing SEMH challenges.
* Implement effective strategies for positive behaviour management and de-escalation.
* Assist pupils in developing essential emotional regulation skills.
* Facilitate engagement and successful reintegration into classroom activities.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to achieve pupil goals.
* Contribute to creating a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive educational setting.
About You
* Proven experience supporting young people with SEMH needs, ideally within a secondary phase.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport effectively.
* Demonstrate a patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting pupils.
* Ability to inspire and motivate pupils towards positive outcomes and personal growth.
* Strong team-working abilities and a proactive attitude towards challenges.
* A genuine commitment to fostering an inclusive and understanding learning environment.
