1:1 SEN Support Assistant

You will work closely with a student experiencing complex needs, which may encompass Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), or sensory impairments. Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to a primary pupil, ensuring their individual needs are met throughout the school day.
* Build a strong, positive rapport with the pupil, fostering trust and encouraging engagement.
* Implement and monitor specific targets outlined in the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers, SENCOs, and external therapists to ensure a cohesive approach.
* Assist with personal care, mobility, and communication strategies as appropriate for the pupil's needs.
* Support the pupil's inclusion in classroom activities and promote their independence within the school setting.
About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting children with complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairments.
* You exhibit a patient, empathetic, and highly resilient nature, essential for this demanding yet rewarding role.
* You are skilled in building strong relationships and communicating effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
