About the Role
An exceptional school is seeking a dedicated individual to join its supportive team as an ASD Support Assistant. This vital role involves working with secondary students on the autism spectrum within a specialist SEN setting. You will play a crucial part in facilitating social communication, effectively managing sensory needs, and supporting students to access their curriculum. We are looking for someone available for various contract types, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent opportunities, with an immediate start available for the right candidate, offering a competitive daily rate of £90 - £115.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to secondary students on the autism spectrum.
* Facilitate and encourage effective social communication skills.
* Proactively manage and respond to individual sensory needs.
* Support students in accessing and engaging with the curriculum.
* Collaborate closely with teachers and other professionals.
* Contribute to fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* You are patient, empathetic, and truly understand individual student needs.
* Your communication skills are excellent, allowing for clear and effective interaction.
* You are adaptable and flexible in your approach to support and learning.
* You are committed to fostering positive relationships and promoting student growth.
