About the Role
A dynamic school is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This vital role involves providing comprehensive support to secondary pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs within a specialist provision, assisting their emotional regulation, guiding positive behaviour, and facilitating their successful reintegration into learning. We are offering various flexible contract options, including Long Term, Daily Supply, Short Term, and Permanent opportunities, starting as soon as possible, with a competitive daily rate of £95 - £120.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to secondary pupils experiencing Social, Emotional, and Mental Health challenges.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies consistently and proactively.
* Assist pupils in developing and practicing emotional regulation techniques.
* Facilitate their active re-engagement with educational activities and curriculum.
* Collaborate closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to pupil development.
* Contribute to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all pupils.

About You
* You possess demonstrable experience working with secondary-aged pupils, particularly those with SEMH needs.
* A strong understanding of various Social, Emotional, and Mental Health conditions is essential.
* You exhibit proven ability to de-escalate challenging behaviours and support positive outcomes.
* An empathetic, patient, and resilient approach is fundamental to your practice.
* You communicate effectively with pupils, staff, and other stakeholders.
* You hold a genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
