Join a inclusive school dedicated to providing exceptional education for primary-aged pupils with special educational needs. We are seeking a passionate SEN Class Teacher to lead learning within our specialist primary setting. This fulfilling role involves teaching small groups of pupils, all of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans, and creatively adapting the national curriculum to meet their diverse learning styles. You will collaborate closely with dedicated teaching assistants, various therapists, and the families of our pupils, fostering a holistic and supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons for small groups of primary pupils with SEN.
* Adapt the national curriculum effectively to meet individual learning needs and EHCP targets.
* Foster a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and development.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, ensuring integrated support for all pupils.
* Liaise regularly with therapists and external professionals to support pupil progress.
* Build positive relationships with parents and carers, encouraging family engagement in learning.
About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a genuine passion for special educational needs education.
* Bring experience in teaching primary-aged pupils, particularly those with a range of complex needs and EHCPs.
* Demonstrate a proactive approach to adapting teaching methods to suit
