About the Role
Join a thriving school dedicated to providing exceptional specialist primary education in Southend-on-Sea, where an exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate SEN Class Teacher. This rewarding position involves teaching small groups of primary-aged pupils, each with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), by adeptly adapting the national curriculum to meet their unique learning profiles. You will work within a highly collaborative setting, closely supported by dedicated teaching assistants, therapists, and families, ensuring a holistic and integrated approach to pupil development and progress.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to small groups of pupils in a primary SEN setting.
* Adapt and modify the national curriculum to cater for diverse special educational needs.
* Develop, implement, and review individualised education plans (EHCPs) for pupils.
* Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external support professionals.
* Maintain open and regular communication with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing.

About You
* You possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrable experience within a primary phase.
* A strong background in working with pupils with a range of special educational needs is highly advantageous.
* You demonstrate a deep understanding of various learning difficulties and effective support strategies.
* You are passionate about making a significant and positive impact on pupils' educational journeys.
* Exceptional communication skills enable you to build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
* You are adaptable and creative in your teaching approach, able to meet individual learning requirements.
