This vital role involves providing tailored assistance to secondary students on the autism spectrum within a specialist SEN setting. We are looking for someone available for an immediate start, offering flexible contract options including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate ranging from £90 to £115.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated one-to-one and small group support to secondary students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* Actively facilitate the development of social communication skills among pupils.
* Implement strategies to effectively manage sensory needs within the classroom and school environment.
* Assist students in accessing and engaging with the secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCOs to adapt learning materials and approaches.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere where every student feels valued and understood.
About You
* Demonstrable experience supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ideally within a secondary setting.
* A genuine passion for fostering the academic and personal growth of students with special educational needs.
