About the Role
An exceptional school is actively seeking a dedicated and nurturing Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to empower young learners in their primary setting. Key Responsibilities
• Provide tailored support to individual pupils or small groups with diverse special educational needs, both in the classroom and during dedicated sessions.
• Collaborate closely with class teachers and the SENCo to plan and implement effective learning strategies and individual education plans (IEPs).
• Assist in creating an accessible and stimulating learning environment that encourages participation and engagement for all pupils.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing valuable observations to assessment and review processes.
• Facilitate positive behaviour management, promoting self-regulation and social skills among pupils.
• Support pupils' emotional and social development, building confidence and fostering a sense of belonging.

About You
• Demonstrable experience supporting children with special educational needs, ideally within a primary school setting.
• A genuine passion for making a tangible difference in the lives of young learners.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Adaptability and resilience, with the ability to respond positively to varied situations and individual needs.
• A proactive approach to learning and professional development, eager to expand your knowledge and skill set.
• Understanding of various SEN provisions and strategies to promote inclusive education.
