We are seeking a dedicated SEN Supply Teacher to join our vibrant team across various inclusive schools in East London, specifically within the Havering area. This vital role involves providing comprehensive classroom cover for secondary-aged pupils with special educational needs, adapting to diverse learning environments and curriculum areas on a daily and short-term basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and accessible lessons across an adapted secondary curriculum.
* Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
* Effectively manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Collaborate positively with support staff and colleagues to ensure continuity of learning.
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs and learning styles of pupils with SEN.
* Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and participation when required.
About You
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Proven experience working with secondary-aged pupils with a range of special educational needs.
* Excellent classroom management skills and a patient, understanding approach.
* Ability to adapt quickly to new school environments and varying pupil needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships.
* A flexible and proactive approach to daily and short-term supply assignments.
