Key Responsibilities
• Provide tailored support to individual pupils or small groups with identified SEN, both inside and outside the classroom.
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging learning activities that are accessible to all pupils.
• Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behavioural support strategies effectively.
• Facilitate the inclusion of pupils with SEN into all aspects of school life and activities.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCo.
• Adapt and prepare learning resources to meet specific learning styles and needs of pupils with SEN.
About You
• You possess a genuine passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and disabilities.
• You bring previous experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting with SEN.
• You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• You are patient, adaptable, and possess a proactive approach to supporting diverse learning styles.
• You are committed to fostering an inclusive educational environment where every child can thrive.
• You hold relevant qualifications or training in supporting pupils with SEN, or demonstrate a strong willingness to undertake further professional development.
