This exciting opportunity is available on a long-term, permanent contract, with an ideal start date in September or sooner for the right candidate. You will be instrumental in inspiring secondary pupils to develop a deep understanding and passion for the biological and chemical sciences, fostering their academic growth and curiosity.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and effective Biology lessons across key stages, incorporating a strong Chemistry specialism.
* Design and implement a diverse range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all pupils.
* Assess pupil progress rigorously, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
* Contribute actively to the development and enhancement of the Science curriculum.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department to share best practice.
* Maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment that encourages participation.
About You
* You possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and hold a relevant degree in Biology with a Chemistry specialism.
* You are an exceptional educator, able to inspire and motivate young people to achieve their full potential.
* You demonstrate a genuine passion for your subject and a commitment to fostering scientific enquiry.
* Applications are welcomed from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced professionals (MPS/UPS).
* You exhibit excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to continuous professional development.
* You are a collaborative team player with strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
