This vital role involves supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, focusing on re-engaging disaffected learners through a modified curriculum. Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning styles.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a safe and structured environment.
* Foster positive relationships with pupils to encourage their active participation and progress.
* Adapt the curriculum to meet the specific social, emotional, and mental health needs of secondary-aged learners.
* Collaborate with support staff and external agencies to ensure holistic pupil development.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and reporting on achievements.
About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess experience teaching at secondary level.
* Demonstrate a proven track record of effectively supporting pupils with SEMH and complex behavioural needs.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with both pupils and colleagues.
* Exhibit resilience, patience, and a calm approach in challenging situations.
* Be passionate about making a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
