Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated and consistent 1:1 support to a secondary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Implement and adapt strategies aligned with the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
* Facilitate the pupil's engagement with and access to the full secondary curriculum.
* Actively encourage the development of personal independence and self-advocacy skills.
* Assist in fostering essential life skills, preparing the pupil for future success.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals to ensure holistic support.
About You
* You possess proven experience supporting young people with complex special educational needs, ideally within a secondary school setting.
* A strong understanding of EHCPs and their practical application in a classroom environment is essential.
* Your approach is characterised by exceptional patience, empathy, and unwavering resilience.
* You are deeply passionate about making a tangible difference to a pupil's learning and personal development.
* Effective communication skills allow you to build rapport and work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
* You are proactive, adaptable, and demonstrate initiative in supporting individual pupil needs.
