This vital primary role involves providing specialist support to pupils on the autism spectrum within a dedicated ASD provision. You will contribute significantly to helping young learners thrive in their educational journey. This opportunity offers flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent positions, with an immediate start available. We offer a competitive daily rate ranging from £90 to £115.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement structured routines and clear visual schedules for primary pupils.
* Apply effective sensory strategies to support pupils' regulation and engagement.
* Facilitate communication using various methods appropriate for individual needs.
* Assist pupils with their learning across the primary curriculum within the specialist provision.
* Promote positive behaviour, social interaction, and independence.
* Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting primary pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* Have demonstrable experience working with children with SEND, particularly ASD.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with pupils and staff.
* Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a resilient approach to challenges.
* Be committed to continuous professional development and best practice in SEN.
* Work collaboratively as a valued member of a supportive school team.
