We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to join an ambitious primary phase school immediately. This crucial role involves providing bespoke support to a specific pupil with complex needs, which may include ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairment. You will be instrumental in fostering their development and well-being within a supportive educational environment. This opportunity offers various contract options, including long-term, daily supply, and permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate of £85-£110.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated, individualised support to a pupil with complex Special Educational Needs.
* Develop and maintain a strong, positive rapport with the pupil to encourage engagement.
* Effectively implement and monitor Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
* Collaborate closely with external therapists and professionals to integrate specialist advice.
* Facilitate access to the curriculum and learning activities, adapting as necessary.
* Promote the pupil's personal development, independence, and communication skills.
About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting pupils with complex needs, such as ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairments.
* Exhibit a genuine passion for making a significant difference in a child's educational journey.
* Skilled in building strong, trusting relationships with children and their families.
* Have a clear understanding of EHCPs and their practical implementation in a school setting.
