A forward-thinking school in Billericay is actively seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide crucial long-term assistance. This vital role focuses on supporting a secondary pupil with complex special educational needs, offering an immediate start. You will be instrumental in delivering personalised support, ensuring the pupil can access the curriculum effectively while meticulously following Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets. This position, offering a competitive daily rate of £85 - £110, is available on a long-term, daily supply, or permanent contract basis, promoting independence and essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide intensive one-to-one support to a secondary pupil with identified complex needs.
* Implement and track progress against individual Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) objectives.
* Facilitate the pupil's engagement with the secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Encourage and develop the pupil's independence, resilience, and self-help skills.
* Support the pupil in developing crucial life skills and positive social interactions within the school environment.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and external professionals to ensure comprehensive holistic support.

* You possess demonstrable experience supporting pupils with complex special educational needs.
* You have a proven track record of working effectively with secondary-aged students.
