We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join a innovative school, specialising in primary phase education for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This crucial role involves developing and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons across the curriculum, specifically designed to meet the unique learning styles and requirements of young learners. You will be instrumental in cultivating positive therapeutic relationships with pupils, adeptly managing challenging behaviours, and fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment where every child can thrive and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, personalised lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
* Implement effective and proactive behaviour management strategies consistently.
* Cultivate strong, positive relationships with pupils, built on trust and mutual respect.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback to support ongoing development.
* Collaborate closely with support staff, parents, and external professionals.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCP reviews and pupil progress meetings.
About You
* You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* You possess demonstrable experience working effectively with primary-aged children with SEMH.
* You exhibit excellent classroom management skills and a therapeutic approach.
* You are resilient, empathetic, and patient in challenging situations.
* You show a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
* Both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
