Key Responsibilities
• Inspire students in the wonders of Physics and encourage a deep understanding of scientific principles.
• Develop and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across the secondary curriculum, from Key Stage 3 to A-level.
• Assess and monitor student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
• Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every student feels valued and motivated.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the vibrant Science department to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practice.
• Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities or enrichment initiatives.
About You
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Physics or a closely related scientific field.
• Possess a genuine passion for your subject and the ability to ignite this enthusiasm in young learners.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills, fostering a productive learning environment.
• Be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced professional (MPS/UPS) committed to continuous professional development.
• Exhibit a strong understanding of the secondary science curriculum, particularly A-level Physics.
• Have the flexibility and expertise to teach Chemistry up to GCSE level, if required.
