About the Role
A fulfilling opportunity has arisen within a supportive school in Central London. We are seeking an empathetic and dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant. This pivotal role involves providing bespoke support to a primary pupil with complex needs, including those related to ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairment. You will play a crucial part in their daily learning journey and overall development. We offer various contract options, including long-term, daily supply, and permanent positions, with an immediate start available.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated and consistent 1:1 support to a primary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Cultivate a strong, positive rapport with the pupil, fostering trust and engagement.
* Implement tailored learning activities and strategies outlined in the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
* Assist with personal care and mobility as required, ensuring the pupil's comfort and safety.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers, SENCOs, and external therapists to coordinate support.
* Monitor and record the pupil's progress, contributing to regular reviews and target setting.

About You
* You possess prior experience supporting children or young people with complex SEN, such as ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairments.
* A compassionate and patient approach is central to your working style.
* You demonstrate excellent communication skills, suitable for engaging with pupils, staff, and professionals.
* The ability to work proactively and independently, whilst also being a strong team player, is essential.
* You are adaptable and resilient, thriving in a dynamic educational environment.
* A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning or special educational needs is highly advantageous.
