About the Role
A ambitious school is seeking a dedicated ASD Support Assistant to join their specialist provision, providing invaluable support to primary pupils on the autism spectrum. This pivotal role involves implementing structured routines, utilising effective sensory strategies, and fostering strong communication support to ensure every child can thrive. We are looking for an individual available for various contract types, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent positions, with an immediate start preferred.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to primary pupils within a specialist autism provision.
* Implement and maintain structured routines to promote predictability and comfort.
* Develop and apply effective sensory strategies to support pupil engagement and well-being.
* Facilitate and enhance communication, utilising various methods appropriate to individual needs.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and other professionals to achieve learning objectives.
* Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

* You possess a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal development of pupils with autism.
* You demonstrate a solid understanding of autism spectrum conditions and effective support strategies.
* You are patient, empathetic, and possess excellent observational skills.
* You are proactive in identifying and addressing pupil needs, adapting your approach as necessary.
* You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with pupils and staff.
* You are reliable, adaptable, and committed to making a significant difference in children's lives.
