This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated PMLD Support Assistant to join a committed team within a dedicated school. You will be instrumental in providing specialist support to primary-aged pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties, fostering their development in a nurturing environment. This long-term, permanent contract offers a daily rate of £95 - £120, commencing as soon as possible, allowing you to make an immediate and lasting contribution.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to pupils with PMLD.
* Assist with personal care, ensuring the dignity and comfort of every child.
* Implement engaging sensory stimulation activities designed to promote development.
* Work collaboratively to deliver specific therapy programmes as directed.
* Support the class teacher in creating an inclusive and stimulating learning atmosphere.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to individualised education plans.
About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
* Demonstrate previous experience in a specialist SEN provision, ideally with PMLD.
* Capable of providing compassionate and respectful personal care.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for teamwork.
* Be proactive, patient, and highly adaptable to individual pupil needs.
