Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a secondary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Implement individualised learning strategies that are aligned with the pupil's EHCP targets.
* Facilitate the pupil's active access to a broad and balanced curriculum within the school environment.
* Encourage the development of crucial independence and self-help skills throughout the school day.
* Support the pupil in acquiring and refining essential life skills for future personal success.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers and other professionals to ensure holistic pupil support.
About You
* Possess demonstrable experience working with children or young people who have complex special educational needs.
* Have a solid understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and their practical application in a support role.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience when navigating challenging situations.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport effectively with young people and staff.
* Show a genuine commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for every pupil.
* Be proactive, adaptable, and passionate about supporting individual pupil progress and development.
