This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a supportive school in the Leighton Buzzard area, with an immediate start available. You will be instrumental in maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring continuity of education across various subjects in the absence of the regular teacher. We are seeking professionals interested in long-term, short-term, daily supply, or even permanent arrangements, offering a competitive daily rate of £145 - £160. This diverse role provides invaluable experience within a dynamic secondary setting for individuals passionate about supporting student success.
Key Responsibilities
* Effectively manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies, fostering a respectful and productive atmosphere.
* Ensure students remain focused on learning tasks set by the absent teacher, providing clear instructions and guidance.
* Supervise students throughout the school day, including during break times and lunch periods, promoting their safety and well-being.
* Communicate any significant issues or concerns regarding student behaviour or welfare to the appropriate member of staff.
* Collect completed work at the end of lessons and return it to the designated area for the class teacher.
* Uphold the school's values and ethos, acting as a positive role model for all pupils.

* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with students and staff.
* Demonstrate strong classroom management abilities, capable of maintaining order and engagement.
* Be proactive, adaptable, and resourceful, able to respond calmly and effectively to unforeseen situations.
* Have a genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their educational journey.
* Hold a relevant qualification or experience in a school setting, although not always essential for the right candidate.
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
