We are seeking a passionate SEN Class Teacher to lead small groups of primary-aged pupils, each with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). This rewarding role involves skillfully adapting the national curriculum to meet individual needs, fostering a stimulating learning environment, and collaborating closely with talented Teaching Assistants, therapists, and families to support pupil progress. Opportunities are available for immediate starts on a range of contract types, including daily supply, short-term, long-term, and permanent positions, with competitive remuneration ranging from £150 to £250 per day depending on experience and contract.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching to small groups of primary pupils with EHCPs.
* Skillfully adapt the national curriculum to meet diverse learning needs and styles.
* Collaborate effectively with Teaching Assistants, providing guidance and support in the classroom.
* Work in partnership with therapists to integrate specialist interventions into daily learning.
* Maintain strong communication with families, ensuring they are informed and involved in their child's educational journey.
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and demonstrable experience in a primary setting.
* A genuine passion for working with pupils with Special Educational Needs is essential.
* Experience in adapting curriculum content to support individual pupil progress.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
* The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong commitment to continuous professional development and inclusive practice.
