About the Role
Are you a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant seeking a rewarding opportunity to empower secondary pupils with complex needs? A well-established school is currently looking for an exceptional individual to join their specialist provision immediately, providing crucial behaviour support and fostering emotional regulation. This vital role involves guiding young people through their learning journey, facilitating their successful reintegration, and building their confidence within a supportive environment. We welcome applications from candidates seeking long-term, daily supply, short-term, or even permanent positions, with competitive daily rates ranging from £95 to £120.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to secondary pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
* Implement effective strategies to manage challenging behaviour and de-escalate situations calmly.
* Guide pupils through emotional regulation techniques to build resilience and self-awareness.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and other professionals to ensure pupil progress and wellbeing.
* Encourage pupil engagement in academic and social activities within the specialist provision.
* Contribute to the creation of a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for all.

About You
* Demonstrable experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs is essential.
* A strong understanding of various behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
* Exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience when working with vulnerable young people.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective liaison with pupils, staff, and parents.
* A proactive and adaptable approach, ready to respond to diverse and evolving pupil needs.
* A genuine commitment to fostering positive relationships and promoting pupil success.
