Key Responsibilities
* Provide focused 1:1 and small group support to pupils with diverse special educational needs within the classroom.
* Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), adapting activities to suit specific learning styles and objectives.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to pupil development.
* Prepare and adapt learning resources, making them accessible and engaging for pupils with varying needs.
* Promote positive behaviour, independence, and social skills development among pupils.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and contributing to review meetings.
About You
* Demonstrable experience supporting children with special educational needs within a primary school setting.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
* Exhibit patience, empathy, and resilience, coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as a valued member of a supportive team.
* A solid understanding of safeguarding principles and a commitment to pupil welfare.
