About the Role
A progressive school in North London is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide tailored assistance to a secondary pupil with complex needs. This vital role involves closely following Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets, facilitating access to the curriculum, and actively promoting the development of independence and essential life skills. We are looking for someone available to start as soon as possible, with contract options ranging from long-term placements to daily supply, and even permanent opportunities, offering a daily rate between £85 and £110.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver personalised 1:1 support to a secondary pupil, addressing their specific complex needs.
* Implement and monitor individualised EHCP targets to ensure meaningful progress.
* Facilitate the pupil's engagement with the curriculum across various subjects.
* Actively encourage and foster the development of crucial independence and life skills.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach.
* Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for the pupil.

About You
* You possess proven experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, particularly within a secondary setting.
* Demonstrable experience working 1:1 with individuals presenting complex learning difficulties is essential.
* A strong understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and their practical implementation is required.
* You are patient, empathetic, and possess a genuine passion for supporting pupil development.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enable you to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders.
* You are a proactive and adaptable individual, capable of responding to evolving pupil needs and school requirements.
