We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a progressive school in Northamptonshire. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire secondary students, commencing in September 2026. You will be responsible for delivering engaging mathematics lessons across key stages, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting student academic growth. This role welcomes applications from Early Career Teachers, as well as experienced professionals at Main Pay Scale and Upper Pay Scale.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver exceptional mathematics lessons to secondary school pupils, ensuring curriculum coverage and student engagement.
* Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating schemes of work and individual lessons tailored to diverse learning needs.
* Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
* Provide clear, constructive feedback to students, supporting their continuous improvement and understanding.
* Contribute actively to the ongoing development of the Maths department's resources and extracurricular offerings.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and challenging learning environment where all students feel valued.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
* Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching mathematics to young people.
* Have a proven ability to inspire and motivate secondary school students of all abilities.
* Be committed to creating a supportive and effective learning atmosphere within the classroom.
* Show a dedication to continuous professional development and best practice in education.
* Exhibit strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships.
