About the Role
A forward-thinking school is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to empower a secondary pupil with complex needs. Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a secondary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Implement individualised learning strategies aligned with the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
* Facilitate the pupil's access to the secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Actively promote and develop the pupil's independence and crucial life skills.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to regular assessments and reviews.

About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting young people with complex SEN, ideally in a secondary setting.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, empathy, and a profound understanding of individual learning needs.
* Hold a strong commitment to fostering a pupil's personal development and academic success.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and work collaboratively.
* Be proactive, adaptable, and resourceful in creating engaging and supportive learning experiences.
