SEN Teaching Assistant

Join a dedicated school in Bromley, South West London, as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant within our vibrant primary phase. This fulfilling role involves providing essential support to pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) who present with complex learning needs, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and speech and language difficulties. You will work both 1:1 and with small groups, nurturing young minds within a specialist SEN environment, with contract options ranging from long-term to permanent positions, as well as daily supply and short-term opportunities, commencing as soon as possible with a daily rate of £90 - £115.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored one-to-one support to primary-aged pupils with diverse learning needs.
* Facilitate engaging small group activities designed to meet individual educational targets.
* Assist in cultivating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all children.
* Support pupils experiencing complex learning difficulties such as ASD, ADHD, and speech and language challenges.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers and external professionals to implement personalised learning plans.
* Encourage the development of pupils' independence, communication skills, and social interactions.
About You
* You possess a genuine passion for making a significant positive impact on children's educational journeys.
* Previous experience supporting primary-aged children with Special Educational Needs is highly valued, particularly with ASD, ADHD, or speech and language difficulties.
* A strong understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) is considered essential for this role.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with ease.
