About the Role
Join an innovative school dedicated to empowering young people with special educational needs. This pivotal role involves providing specialist support to secondary students on the autism spectrum within a nurturing environment. You will be instrumental in facilitating social communication, expertly managing sensory needs, and ensuring full access to the curriculum, enabling students to thrive academically and personally. We are seeking adaptable professionals available for a variety of contracts, from daily supply and short-term assignments to long-term and permanent opportunities, starting as soon as possible with a competitive daily rate of £90-£115.

Key Responsibilities
* Implement tailored support strategies to meet the unique learning requirements of secondary students on the autism spectrum.
* Proactively facilitate social communication, fostering positive interactions and confidence amongst pupils.
* Expertly manage and address sensory needs, creating an optimal and comfortable learning environment.
* Provide robust support to ensure all students can effectively access and engage with the secondary curriculum.
* Collaborate closely with teachers and other professionals to develop individualised learning plans.
* Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture that champions every student's potential.

About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within an educational setting.
* Exhibit a profound understanding of the challenges and strengths associated with ASD in secondary-aged pupils.
* Demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience when navigating complex student needs.
* Command excellent communication skills, enabling clear and effective interaction with students, staff, and parents.
* Be highly adaptable and proactive, ready to embrace diverse working arrangements and challenges.
* Hold a genuine passion for empowering young people and fostering their independence.
