This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Physics Teacher to join a dedicated school where you can truly inspire the next generation of scientists. You will deliver dynamic and challenging lessons within a supportive Science department, fostering a deep understanding and enthusiasm for Physics amongst pupils across the secondary phase. This is a long-term, permanent contract position, with a start date available from September or sooner, allowing you to establish yourself within a thriving educational community.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physics lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Develop and implement stimulating schemes of work and assessments for pupils at various key stages.
• Monitor and evaluate pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
• Contribute actively to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular science clubs or activities.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the overall Science curriculum.
About You
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a relevant degree in Physics or a closely related scientific field.
• Demonstrate a genuine passion for Physics and the ability to inspire curiosity and critical thinking in pupils.
• Possess strong subject knowledge, with a particular specialism in Physics and Chemistry.
• Be adept at creating an engaging and challenging learning experience for all pupils, from ECTs to experienced teachers.
• Exhibit excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
• Be a collaborative team player with a dedication to continuous professional development.
