A well-established school in the West Midlands is seeking a dedicated Class Teacher to join their specialist primary SEN environment. This challenging and rewarding role involves leading small groups of pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), adapting the national curriculum to meet their unique learning needs. You will be instrumental in fostering significant educational and personal growth for every child, working collaboratively with a supportive team of teaching assistants, therapists, and families to create an inclusive and dynamic learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons for small groups of primary-aged pupils with complex Special Educational Needs.
* Skillfully adapt the national curriculum to cater for diverse learning styles and individual EHCP targets.
* Effectively manage and deploy teaching assistants, ensuring optimal support for pupils.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress meticulously, contributing to regular reviews and goal setting.
* Foster strong partnerships with parents, therapists, and external agencies to ensure holistic pupil development.
* Create a nurturing, stimulating, and safe classroom environment where every child can thrive.
About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a genuine passion for Special Educational Needs education.
* Possess a proven ability to differentiate the curriculum effectively for pupils with varying needs, including those with EHCPs.
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills within a specialist setting.
* Be highly adaptable and creative in your teaching approaches, thriving on new challenges.
* Exhibit outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with pupils, colleagues, and families.
