About the Role

A progressive school is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to provide invaluable support to primary-aged pupils. Key Responsibilities
• Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to primary pupils with a range of special educational needs, fostering their academic and social development.
• Collaborate effectively with class teachers and the SENCo to implement individualised education plans (IEPs), adapting activities to suit specific learning styles.
• Cultivate a positive and nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages pupil engagement, independence, and self-esteem.
• Assist in preparing and resourcing differentiated learning materials, ensuring accessibility and relevance for all pupils.
• Accurately monitor and record pupils' progress and achievements, providing clear feedback to the teaching team.
• Support the consistent application of positive behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm and focused learning environment.

About You
• Possess demonstrable experience supporting primary-aged children with diverse special educational needs in an educational setting.
• Hold relevant qualifications or professional development related to special educational needs support.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills, enabling effective interaction with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
• Demonstrate a patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach, understanding the varied challenges and strengths of each child.
• Committed to promoting an inclusive ethos where every pupil is valued and given the opportunity to succeed.
• Capable of working autonomously while also thriving as a collaborative member of a supportive team.
