About the Role
A highly regarded school in Hertfordshire is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision, making a profound difference to secondary pupils requiring support with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. This challenging role involves working creatively and proactively to foster a positive learning environment within a specialist setting. We are seeking individuals available for a range of contract options, including daily supply, short-term, long-term, and permanent roles, with a competitive daily rate of £95 - £120, commencing as soon as possible. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding young people through their educational journey, supporting their behaviour, emotional regulation, and reintegration into learning.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide targeted support for secondary pupils experiencing Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties within a specialist setting.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote a calm and focused classroom atmosphere.
* Guide pupils in developing emotional regulation skills, helping them to understand and manage their feelings constructively.
* Work collaboratively with teachers to facilitate the successful reintegration of pupils into the learning process.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised support plans for pupils.
* Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that encourages academic and personal growth.

About You
* Possess proven experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
* Demonstrate exceptional patience, resilience, and an empathetic approach to complex behaviours.
* Be adept at building positive relationships quickly, earning trust and respect from young people.
* Exhibit a proactive and adaptable work ethic, thriving in dynamic educational environments.
* Hold strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective teamwork and pupil engagement.
* Be deeply committed to fostering an inclusive educational experience for every pupil.
