An exceptional school is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant primary community. This rewarding role involves providing crucial support to children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), working both 1:1 and in small groups. You will engage with pupils experiencing a range of complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language difficulties, fostering their development and engagement. We are open to discussing various contract types, from long-term and permanent positions to daily supply and short-term opportunities, with an immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with diverse SEN requirements.
* Implement individualised learning plans and strategies to meet specific EHCP targets.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and therapists to ensure holistic pupil development.
* Assist with the preparation and adaptation of learning materials to suit different needs.
* Encourage pupil independence and confidence in their learning journey.
About You
* Possess previous experience supporting primary-aged children with special educational needs.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
* Hold excellent communication skills, enabling effective interaction with pupils, staff, and parents.
