A thriving school is seeking an exceptional 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide dedicated, personalised support to a primary phase pupil with complex needs, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), or sensory impairment. This challenging yet incredibly rewarding role offers an immediate start, with contract options ranging from long-term daily supply to a permanent position, paying £85-£110 per day. Key Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke 1:1 support tailored to the pupil's individual requirements and learning style.
* Cultivate a strong, trusting rapport to foster a safe and engaging learning environment.
* Implement and meticulously track progress against Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
* Collaborate effectively with external therapists and specialists to ensure holistic development.
* Adapt learning materials and strategies to address specific complex needs, including ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairment.
* Champion the pupil's independence, communication, and social skills development.
About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting children with complex Special Educational Needs, such as ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairment.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
* Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of EHCPs and their practical implementation.
* Proven ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and external professionals.
* Proactive in developing creative and engaging support strategies to maximise pupil engagement.
* Committed to continuous professional development and making a tangible difference to pupil outcomes.
