About the Role
A inclusive school in the East Midlands is seeking a dedicated ASD Support Assistant to join their primary phase team. This vital role involves providing specialist support to pupils on the autism spectrum within a nurturing and structured environment. We are looking for individuals available for a variety of contracts, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or even permanent positions, with an immediate start preferred. You will be instrumental in fostering a positive learning experience for children requiring specialised assistance.

Key Responsibilities
* Implement tailored structured routines to support pupil engagement and predictability.
* Apply effective sensory strategies to create an an optimal learning environment for primary children.
* Provide crucial communication support, adapting methods to individual pupil needs.
* Assist class teachers in delivering engaging lessons and managing classroom activities.
* Facilitate social interactions and emotional regulation for pupils within the specialist provision.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to ongoing assessments and planning.

About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting primary-aged pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* You exhibit a genuine passion for making a significant difference in children's educational journeys.
* You are adaptable and flexible, capable of thriving in various classroom settings and contract lengths.
* You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with both pupils and staff.
* You are patient, empathetic, and possess a calm demeanour, even in challenging situations.
* You are proactive in identifying and addressing pupil needs, contributing positively to their development.
